Do your part to reduce and reuse by bringing a reusable drink bottle and lunch container to school or work.  This is not only greener for the planet by you eliminating dumping hundreds of plastic bottles into landfills each year but it will also save you green by not buying single-use drink bottles.   FYI - it takes about 500 years for a plastic water bottle to decompose.
 

Donate to the Green Team.  The Green Team receives no funding from Lovejoy ISD.  Become a sponsor or make a donation to help support the important work the Green Team is doing to help Lovejoy be more environmentally sustainable.  100% of donations support Green Team programs. 

 

Examples of programs your donation may support include:

• Additional recycling bins around all campuses, teacher lounges, Admin building and sports fields and courts.

• More filtered water bottle fillers on campuses and new water dispensers to replace plastic water bottles at district events

• Reusable water bottle program

• Plastic, can and Styrofoam crushers (reducing trash and recycle volume saves LISD money)

• Recycling stations with sinks in cafeterias to reduce recycle bin contamination

• Reusable or compostable utensils and plates

• More energy efficient light bulbs

• Campus garden cleanup and enhancement projects

• Educational materials for students about Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

• R-R-R signs, banners and promotions to get students more involved
