ABOUT GREEN TEAM
The Green Team is a joint collaboration between the Lovejoy Council of PTOs and Lovejoy ISD. The Green Team serves as an advisory committee to Lovejoy ISD to research and propose green programs across the district. All programs will be reviewed and approved by Lovejoy ISD executive committee before implementation.
Green Team’s mission:

Help Lovejoy ISD to be more environmentally sustainable by investigating potential options, tools, vendors, products, corporate partners and grants that can help Lovejoy ISD to reduce waste and increase reuse and recycling throughout the district

Save money by reducing purchase of single-use items, implementing more energy efficient solutions and reducing areas of waste

Give students an opportunity to learn and lead on ways to be kinder to the planet
Green Team Members
The Green Team consists of members from all across Lovejoy ISD, including parents, district staff and students that are interested in helping to develop and implement green programs across the district. Members are volunteers who serve in a variety of ways including: planning committee, campus implementation teams and educational outreach.
